SMARTHOMES incorporate smart technology to control HVAC, pool, lighting and other systems through WI-FI whether you are at home or away. This allows you to operate your home efficiently throughout the year, changing settings remotely from your phone wherever you are. Smart wiring options allow for built in speakers, remote window treatments, home security and other systems.
SMART TECHNOLOGY
SMARTHOMES begin with a foundation system that integrates precast insulated cement forms followed by high performance, insulated Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s), comprising an insulating foam core pressed and bonded between two structural outer facings. They are cut to size, as per our architectural plans and assembled on site. The result is a strong, highly insulated shell that reduces building time, waste and energy costs over traditional building methods
EFFICIENT CONSTRUCTION
SMARTHOMES save homeowners a considerable amount of money on annual energy bills. This is achieved by building with a combination of highly insulated construction materials, efficient windows and doors, low consumption heating and cooling units which collectively reduce the amount of energy required to heat and cool year round. Additionally, solar panels are integrated to lower electricity costs.

SMARTHOMES interior architecture attends to every functional need through exacting detail. Our design background and experience guide every decision. With expansive windows and sliding doors we create a seamless flow between outdoor and indoor living spaces year round. To reduce our footprint but maximize living space, all lower levels are fully utilized, integrating beautifully to the rest of the house and outdoors through oversized walkouts, windows and custom staircases. We rely on a combination of organic textures and color pallets resulting in clean, modern, beautiful and stylish homes.
SMART DESIGN
SMARTHOMES initial objective is to find a building lot where nature and tranquility prevail. We pay careful attention to the characteristics of the land, integrating our design organically, respectful of nature and sensitive in scale to neighboring homes. To date we have focused our builds in Springs, NY, the place we love and where we live and work. We pride ourselves in working with teams of skilled local tradespeople, reducing travel times, fuel consumption and environmental impact.
ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS
SMARTHOMES include solar panels to provide additional electricity, with the option to add high capacity batteries to store excess energy generated that can be used on overcast days, or after the sun sets. Heating and cooling is provided by ductless Split-Mini’s, individually zoned units combined with a HRV (heat recovery ventilation) system to circulate the air. Resulting in a cleaner more efficient use of electrical energy.
